Evening folks and welcome bqck to another update and as I previously mentioned the Mighty Barum BLogs are taking a rest until nearer the new season but we are still going to keep you updated on what is happening over the course of the next few weeks as the Cup season get into gear.
This weekend is a massive one for Barnstaple Rugby club who are hosting both a semi-final and final on Saturday. At 2pm we have the Buccaneers in their semi-final of the Dave Butt Memorial trophy against Plymouth Uni, which will prove to be an engaging game of rugby and if they win it, which I have every confindence they will, then the Bucc’s will play the final here at Pottington Road next weekend the 27th April, kick off for that game is 3pm.
Then we have the final of the Devon RFU 2nd XV cup featuring our very own Barnstaple Athletic, recently crowned Counties 2 Devon champions against one of the teams that pushed them hard throughout the season, Devonport Services II. This will be an exciting game and one were we want as many of you supporters there to cheer the lads on for a famous cup and league double.
To celebrate finals day at Pottington Road and following on from the success of last Saturdays special, we have Pie & Mash with a pint for just £10, an offer not to be missed.
On the road the Chiefs head to Banbury RFC for their 2md round game in the Papa Johns Cmmunity Cup and we wish them well in that one. We will try and keep those at Pottington Road as updated as possible on the score as and when it happens throughout the day, hopefully. Here then is the teams playing this weekend
